Distress - Page 27

I'm not gonna lie here… this is one of my favorite pages I've ever done. It was one of those, “either this will work, or its gonna look like total crap” vibes going into it, and I think, in the end, it turned out alright! Lower panel count than normal, but hopefully its made up for with visuals!
I'm excited for what this chapter has in store– I've had the whole thing laid out for a while, but I'm getting down to the nitty gritty writing details, and there's gonna be some interesting powerful stuff coming up before chapter three sends us a whole other way! Not giving anything away, but: in coming pages we're going to learn more about Jefe and John John's rocky relationship, what happened to Ash, as well as meet 2 or 3 new key players! Woah! All that and a bag of ripe cheese puffs!
Haven't had any time to set anything up with the “process” work (penciled pages and whatnot) like I had wanted to, I guess I jumped the gun announcing that… More on that to come…
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you Thursday as we board this ship and see what in the U is going on here….

I also like sloo's idea for a crossover.

This page is great...a beautiful contrast to the other pages of black on whit...it's white on black! Excellent art too...the look of matt's character is really taking shape.

"Police work", lol, that's funny and Yes, this is one heck of a great page. Good work, can't wait to see the whole thing between Jefe and John.

Very powerful page!! I like the white on black myself, and you were very right... it would either work or look like dookie.... happy to tell you that it does not look like dookie!!! Well done!

Jeez, I keep falling behind on my favorites list. I like the layout of this particular page. The floating panels break the traditional comic book panels thing that tends to get a little old after a while. It's a lot darker, and slicker looking than normal because of it.
