And here it is. My first digitally drawn page, drawn on my Wacom One 13,3 pen tablet, that I bought about a month ago. Krita was the drawing software I used for this. I decided to use this scene where Molly is having a flashback of her past, to make a comparison between the color theme reminiscent of the one of earlier pages and one that is a bit different. I'd love to hear what you think of it. Next update will be within the next two weeks. Gonna take my time figuring this brand new tool out(Y)
Well the drawing on a tablet part itself I dig. The Wacom One is very organic in the way it feels putting the pen to the screen, having the press sensitivity to respond when I want lines thicker or a darker or lighter coat of color. One issue I have is how to determine size and perspective. On a piece of A4 this isn't a problem. But a canva on Krita where you can zoom in and out on a page it becomes a bit disruptive of how to scope things, since the canva is vertical in form and the tablet itself is horizontal instead. But perhaps I'm just judging it too quick. Maybe all I need is to keep trying and it will all settle in. I have gotten a good taste for it, though I totally get your favour of scanned in drawn image, it is a less tech-heavy approach.
Yeah, I mean--it's interesting and I had fun drawing this on the tablet. I don't know--when I look at this page the way it came up when I uploaded it, it just felt akward and kind of blurred in a wierd way. Like I botched it somehow. Like I didn't capture the same sharpness and gritty feel that those analouge ones had. I don't know. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed by all of the options that the software and tablet gave me. It's just so much to navigate. I don't know, maybe I'm just anxious because I'm new at this or something:/
Hey again, guys! I know you're probably tired of me changing my mind again and again. But--I've been having some second thoughts. This digital stuff is cool and all and I wouldn't mind exploring it a bit more. But I think I'm gonna go back to making analouge art for the next page and forward. I already miss the old style and I wanna keep that style going for this comic. I feel there is still more to explore in analouge art as well as the digital. Besides, gotta have something to use my scanner and my pens and paper blocks for^^

Great work with the tablet. No loss of quality and your style is in tact. Any issues with the transion? The feel of drawing digitally?

I feel that what this image really here needed was thicker ink lines. Then it wouldn't feel blurry-ish whenever I look at it^^

It is the digital input that is my trouble. At least for now scanning a drawn image from paper is a better fit for me.

I have a hard time drawing on a tablet. Once it is in the digital realm I can manage (although I am lazy and tend to take shortcuts).

Sounds like a sad country song needs to be written about those back alleys.

I was thinking a sad blues song. It would fit Molly's taste in music that way^^
