Chapter One Page 10

Two updates so close together? :O
You guys must feel so special… anyway, this week's page was kind of an experiment on jagged inking and a watercolor style of painting. It actually ended up being one of my (if not THE) best pages. I'd like to know what you think! I'd also like you to tell us where you think the plot is going, either here or in the forum! I left you more clues, and I'm sure some of you will catch up on em!
Voting incentive has changed! Vote for a preview of the next page.
I'd like to thank you guys who've been following us/voting/faving/commenting. Up ahead are a lot of explanations for the plotline of the story, so stick with us. Things only get better from here.

woooow....I like this style. Excessive detail on the lips puts me off, but with this, it looks realistic, and quite beautiful. =D

This page moves quite well! Love the talking bubbles coming off the shadowy guy - I need to do more of that! I use Illustrator and sometimes Photoshop to do my work...What are you using? Your art is fantastic!

For personal taste I prefer the more painterly - as in resembling oil colors - approach, but what's so nice about your artwork is that when you switch styles you totally embrace the change and so there is nothing out of place that will jar the sensibilities of the viewer. I.E., artistically speaking, this is also a quite nice page of work. Frustrating piece of criticism, eh? I pretty much agree with Tantz Aerine's storyline and plot assessment except that I did not get the impression that these were assassins were coming to kill her. That's one of the things that make these tales interesting, though, the possibility of misinterpretation as well as correctly figuring out the unfolding nature of the tale.

Wow, this is definitely one of your best pages. The amount of detail is just...awesome. I can't wait to see what's next :)

Hmmm. I think Nadya is telling the truth- there's a slight difference from penitent suicidal as opposed to simple fear. Hehe. I like the angles in this page, as well as the shading, but I think I prefer the previous page a little more- it gives off more of a feeling of control and allows me to enjoy the story more. I like this one too, very much, but somehow the previous page's art style sort of sucked me in, if you know what I mean. However whichever you choose, this is one swell comic, plot-wise and art-wise. Hmmm. A shot at what's going to happen... I think that Nadya is wandering because she either was banished, or banished herself or escaped from the court she was, probably after an event where she assumes responsibility for whatever disaster happened. Betrayal? Maybe, it can take many forms. I also believe that she is ready to go to the extremes for penance, and that actually the spider woman is not entirely interested in killing her. Maybe she will give the princess an insight of some sort, or a goal to pursue, and that is why there are assassins coming to kill her. Sketchy yet, but I'm working on it ;)
