Chapter One Page 18
D0m on Aug. 10, 2007
Hm. This looks like a return to the “Page 13 syndrome”. I love how this came out in the end. Maybe it looks good to me because I was watching Flash Gordon… ( the new one ). Anyway, I experimented with lighting and soft brushes, so you guys can finally see how daylight is going to look in this comic.
What do you guys think of the outpost and the lighting? Were you getting tired of the night scenes? Where're the two headed? And where are those darn henchmen??

Wow, your line of sight beyond the horizon goes on forever! Great work and your color palette works really well too! You look really good with cool colors in the foreground, I mean, you know, the painting. I think this whole work is wonderful! - gsp

The darkness and gloomyness emination from your work is simply amazing.

I like the outpost. The bridge has that ghostly glow that reminds me of the classic Scooby-Doo cartoons of the 70s (that's a compliment, not an insult). I really like the contrast of the sky to the mountains! Great page!

the mountains look great and you see a bit of light coming over the horizon...but the only thing it doesn't seem to be creating any effect on our scene ... not as drastically as one would think...I love the glowing blue and green..great page.

I like this page. It has a vastness of space which makes you want to breathe in- but you don't dare to, because of all the broodiness. You work well with this palette. Daylight doesn't look too bright does it? it almost gives an underwater feeling, as if they are in a sort of hude half dome halfway down an abyss. Very well done. It makes me wonder though- whether those henchmen are actually alive or dead or something else. Where do they fit in? And if this is an outpost, are they in some sort of borders? Good job dropping all these hints and shaking our chains :)

Your painterly approach to this project is creating an atmosphere that's almost tangible. I clap my hands in glee as your artistic quest continues.

Why do you rock so hard? ;_; I'm planning on making a serious comic with similar overtones, so I request a tutorial or tips. or a link to a existing tutorial. please.
