#10 Hidden Things

Stress. That was the defining word of my day. I just narrowly missed getting laid off today. My company eliminated all other posistions in my departement except my own. I've been most worried about my new work load now that I'm doing the work of three people in addition to sweating out the prospect of future layoffs. Truthfully I very rarely stress so I'm not handling it well. It is really a new experience for me, I'm rarely surprised and I usually have a plan yet this totally blindsided me. It seemed almost done at random. If I had been spared based on my merits rather then my cost I would actually feel rather good about this whole matter but I know that not to be the case. In any case I'm having to learn how to deal with it. It turns out I do not enjoy being stressed and I suddenly have perspective on the feelings of Amy (who stresses quite a bit) which is actually one very good thing to come out of it.
Anyway about today's comic. Nigel is one of the few characters in this series not based off of a fusion character, in fact Nigel is one of the three characters in the series I designed myself. (Though Amy certainly embellished on the design.) I got the idea for Nigel while watching an episode of the Anime Silent Mobius in which a purple haired girl wears a kitty mask in one episode as a very minor plot point. I was instantly enchanted with the idea and developed Nigel's character around this concept. I'm quite pleased with the results and I feel Nigel is one of my most unique characters in Night School: Kojo Academy.

Nigel is cool, I just noticed he/she? has wrinkly hands that ends in talons. I get the feeling that under it she's not as cute as other charachters. Also wicked dragon!
