#20 Imagine That.

The first official appearance of the oft-mentioned Magic Space Ducks! I added the â„¢ for extra commercial silliness of course. Even their request for help sounds like a pitch for merchandise! Ah, how i miss the duck-themed cartoons of the 90's and 80's…half the cartoons on TV these days are garbage. It's gotten to the point where I really don't care what happens to the characters on the screen anymore, let alone buy their crappy toys…there's a serious lack of good character designs lately. I can watch a half-hour toy commercial if the writing is decent and the characters are interesting to look at, but it's been a long time since there's been a show like that. I blame Flash for dragging animation into the gutter…you'd think with all the time and money they are saving on animation, they'd use that to get some decent writers and artists. Instead we got flat, jerky, screaming annoyances. Really, what's with the constant screaming?!
I just really miss classic Looney Tunes. *sniffles*

uh oh... she's in trouble!

YOU are lucky!!! some of us have never known anything other than the screaming annoyances and merchandising talking animals I wish there was some decent all ages cartoons nowadays also wish that people would screen advertisements cause in my opinion an advertisement should NOT be racy. Those types of shows are aging kids faster than they used to... and you cant control the commercials

does anyone remember that short-lived series where the dogs/(pets) of various world leaders were super heros? I seem to recall there being four... The only one i remember is the president's dog was the leader of the group... what was that show called? or the Wonder Cats? remember that? and don't forget the amazing cell-animated special effects of the OLD Scooby Doo? has anyone taken a moment to watch the old ones? with the odd animation? I never noticed before how many different series there are of Scooby Doo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scooby-Doo#Reruns_and_revival

have you seen that new 'Baby Looney Tunes'? It's sooo lame! They make Roadrunner and Taz have morals, for goodness sake! It's terrible! I saw it once and I felt like throwing up. 'Course, I was sick that day anyways...
Erk at 10:07AM, Feb. 29, 2008
i was wondering what the heck is Sybil anyways?
Eternal_Newbie at 5:08AM, Feb. 29, 2008
PS: Do you remember the Samurai Pizza Cats? Probably the best ever western anime adaptation. As usual for those times they ignored the origional Japanese script, but the plots they came up with were even funnier and more bizarre than the origionals.
Eternal_Newbie at 5:02AM, Feb. 29, 2008
I know what you mean, classic Loony tunes are the best :) For the 70's and 80's were probably the worst though, for american animation. For a while there was a revival going, but it's slipping back into that 70's mediocraty.

brightly colored semi-aquatic animals saving the day with eating utensils, those were the good ol' days. ^^
zoopzoopzoopzoop987 at 4:55PM, Feb. 26, 2008
Gotta admit, Looney Tunes and a bunch of other classic cartoons are a lot better than most of the stuff we get now. Like some of the Kids WB flops. Which include 'Da Boom Crew' and 'Fred's Fruit Salad Island'. Ugh, I can't believe I still remember those names... >_
