#28 Taking Her Time

Hey youse! Well, this will be revealed sooner or later in the comic itself, but I think an early explanation is in order anyway. What the characters will refer to as “Legacy” items are going to basically be magical artifacts from before the crackdown on magic began…or the event we'll be covering soon in their history classes! “Legacy” can be almost anything, usually an ordinary-seeming object, that is actually magical in nature. But Legacy items are illegal to make or use, but as long as they are inactive or really minor they aren't going to catch any attention. Sort of like how the authorities aren't going to bust down your door over some sparklers or fountains during fireworks seasons, but if you're blasting a rand finale of aerial mortars in your front yard in the middle the winter, you might be in trouble with the cops.
Sarah is also somewhat incorrect that only a Princess would own Legacy (actually, it's her dad's) but it's probably a little more likely that her daddy's war treasures might be just a tad more dangerous than some magic envelope sealer that another classmate owns.
