Artist answer! ^^
Drawing runes is so enjoyable because it's so easy and leaves room for experimentation. The best advice I can give is to actually go to the source: look at examples of ancient artwork. There are tons of pieces and a million different styles to choose from. For example, two styles used for painting Pre-Archaic Greek pots were the Organic and Oriental styles (boy, don't I sound intelligent?). Geometric broke organic shapes down into their simplest forms, like a human figure having a circle for a head, a triangle for a chest, and lines for arms and legs. The other style, Oriental, had a lot of eastern influences and looked a lot more curvcd and natural. This comic kind of combines the two together (although I didn't know anything about Greek pottery when I first started). Again, example: I start out with what Crysthel actually looks like in mind (having a picture of the character nearby is handy) and then break down the detailed image into basic shapes and forms. How fluid or structured these forms look are totally up to you.
I hope I was able to help. :)

Woo! Anyway.
THIS PAGE is probably the most pivotal one of all the runic comics so far. I'll bet some of you can guess what the rest of the story is going to be about.
I remember as a little kid (I think from 7-12)I'd write a series of clues for my brothers to solve and follow. I FLIPPING LOVED watching them trying to figure them all out. Usually what they were finding wasn't even that exciting, but I think they liked trying to figure out the clues.
Since I'm not at home anymore and don't have that much time to think of twelve different creative clues that leads to one part of the house, this is my compromise. :)

Heck, does this page even make sense?

Cheeko out.
