i think everyone can relate to the horrors of school cafeteria pizza. at least before every school got fucking pizza huts installed in them. our pizza came in this rectangular shape for some reason unbeknownst to anyone, and had those little “pepperoni” cubes like on totinos pizzas….except totinos pizzas were much tastier. and i can't stand totinos pizzas.

The FartMutant's horrible maw... Look at it!

At first I was a little let down about the new comics not being consistent with our historical hairstyles, but it actually makes good sense to give our characters (Json, Jeremiah, and Json) a more consistent style so as not to confuse those unlucky people out there who don't actually know us.

oh yeah, the "classic me" will still appear in that "she's hot, but 80's hot" page in the background, just like in the original.

i totally own up to my nerdiness. :) jason and i had a long discussion about the change in hairstyles. while the avatars certainly bore our physical features of the various eras they were drawn/writen and we all could recognize who was who, the constantly changing hairstyles could be confusing for first time readers of this epic saga. especially considering that 2 of the main characters have the same name!...plus or minus an A. the jasons first appear in chapter one, both of which very briefly, and they both have short hair. jason is gone until chapter 4. and json has long hair in chapter 2. in chapter 3 json has the short spikey hair he sports through the remainder of the story. while jason shows up in chapter 4 with long flowing locks. (i almost got confused just writing that!) we felt it would be best for continuity, consistancy, and character recognition to keep the same basic hairstyles and fashion sense throughout the story for those characters....just portray them in a younger stage. i did, however add that smelly ass jacket for the cafeteria scene as an homage to that foul beast. when jason comes on the scene in the next 2 pages with his chin-length hair, i think it will all come together a little better and make more sense.

As you can see, i was quite fond of the school pizzas. So i'm wondering why not go with the haircut you had in the end of the original comic? Take off your rose-colored time goggles! You were a nerd! We all were/are.

eew, looks like the pizza I got in school too. Except ours came with a quart of grease dripping off them.
