so a couple things of note about this page….
back when i was first drawing this, i showed this page to a friend of mine, and she laughed so hard at fartmutant and his transformer that drool came out of her mouth and landed on the page, making the ink bleed (back when i used water soluble inks).
the other thing of note….this is when the story takes a dramatic shift away from “impending dictatorial doom” and “powerjeff's heroicness” and focuses on the day to day lives of the people jeff calls his enemies. from here on out, that is the major theme of the story.

it makes perfect since to me. i was close with the 2000 years thing, just in the wrong direction chronologically. ....and i owe everything i know about transformers universe to you. sometimes i even surprise myself with what i know.

Okay, sort of yeah. But they discovered in the BW second season that some major shit went down and they wound up on prehistoric earth. Megatron (the t-rex one) was bent on getting some disks that hold a shitload of information so as to see if the information came full circle after he manipulated shit. Great time travel shit. He also tried to destroy Optimus Prime (THE Optimus Prime) while all the original characters were still sorta dead (stasis lock) after they had been crash-landed in the Ark, the big orange ship the Autobots used to get to earth... If this makes sense, you know too much.

Mushroomcomix, you're right. they are called beast wars. and i think, timeline-wise, the story takes place a couple thousand years after generation one. is that right, Jer?

Optimus Prime was one of my favorite toys when I was young, now it is gone all of my transformers broke...all I have left are my beast war toys (I think they are called beast wars, the animal transformers)

My boyfriend had a very similar reaction when I gave him a miniature Optimus Prime for Christmas. I wish I'd had a camera ready for that moment.
