They can talk coherently after all, just not in their physical form. They aren’t talking, though, as all the communication is done in their respective brains, using a program that translates their thoughts into something the redhead can understand. Same goes for their avatars. Talking to something that looks like a person is easier for a human than to some kind of plastic-like fractal structure. It’s also more interesting to draw. They look like children because that’s the stage they are right now in their evolution process. You can notice how they slightly grow from kids about 5 years old to kids around 10.
