Back again. This time with 100more zombified updates.
If you want to know more about the hiatus and the future of Robomeks you can read this(info in the second half of the post).
The TL/DR version: I decided to quit, but I didn't. This time around I won't update as regularly as before, though.

@Jabali: Yep, I thought about printing part 01, probably through Ka-Blam, but it ended in that, a thought. From what I've gathered from other webcomickers that have done that already their sales are pretty much zero, even when they previously published polls where readers said they'd buy it. But the point to print something would be selling it in conventions, as you say. That seems to work for most. The problem here is that I reside in Spain, so that's a no-no for me. I thought about the few conventions around here but, really, the amount of spaniard readers RM has is less than 1%, so I haven't bothered. The majority are americans (around 60%, the rest divided between lots of other countries). I also thought about selling it myself and using a local printer (which are way more pricey than the ones you have there) but the shipping costs to deliver something overseas would either make the price too high or reduce the profit margin considerably, making the whole thing pointless. TBH I'm afraid I'm stuck with online publishing for the time being.

I have noticed that web-comic artist that not only move their comic through the web but also go to conventions do better. I hope things get better but certainly the economics do play a big part of doing a comic. It may be fun but certainly there's lots o money and time involved when doing comics.

I read the blog and I'm curious; Did you ever considered printing your comic, was that an option? Did you went to conventions to sell printed comics and/or other promotional stuff? I've noticed that the days of just doing web-based business are slowing down. I have noticed that

Yep. Robomeks simply doesn't interest, or doesn't interest enough. Maybe because of my quality as artist/writer, maybe because of the focus/theme of the story, maybe whatever. The point is that my morale was being drained with each update and eventually reached a point where I wasn't able to go on, as it all felt pretty much pointless. If we add to that all the money spent on this, well, that's a bad combo. But, oh well, I also want to see Robomeks finished, so I'll keep doing it until we reach that point. This time in a more relaxed way, so hopefully that'll slow the time before the next (inevitable) burn up. And yes, if you can promote, link or whatever you can think of this comic elsewhere, please, do so. And, while I know you are Drunk Duck readers, if you can link to the main site (catolate.com) instead, that'd be even better. The whole bunch of ads is there, and that's the only way I have to cut some of the losses. Thanks for keep reading Robomeks, in any case.
