Trance’s jab at Corey about being a rules lawyer is a little reference to the first monthly bonus comic strip we made for Jessica’s Patreon, which gave a quick glimpse of how the C&C game went.
Here are some alternate responses I wrote for Trance, but Jessica didn’t think they’d work well without hearing the way I intended the lines to be delivered (picture Trance’s lines being said by Christ Knight from Real Genius):
COREY: I think she has the hots for me.
TRANCE: Ah, must’ve won her over with your astute observational skills.
Or
COREY: I think she has the hots for me.
TRANCE: What a fun thing to think. I’ll try it too.
Also, you might notice that Trance is gazing upon the Stagbunny issue he referenced earlier, featuring a certain girl with a familiar surname.

Yeah, but how many GMs you know have a Stuka dive bomber up their sleeve for miscreant players? *Boom* hey what's that siren screech? There's a crazy bird about to drop an egg on us... Explosives and firearms can have cascading damage.

Always check the look on the face of the GM before you make a move into a new area because if you ticked him or her off their will be a nasty surprise waiting for you and your party. trust me on that.

@Bravo: Right, but when you're used to always being the GM, as Corey is, it can be hard to sit back and keep your mouth shut. My brother is thinking of taking over that role in my gaming group once this current campaign wraps up. I'm eager to finally get to play for once, but it's going to be a little weird for me after having been the GM for the past six or seven years.

Rules lawyer? Rule One: your Game Master is always right.

Yeah, nothing says I-Want-You like acting like someone who doesn't!! :D

Oh well, I wouldn't want to know what kind of people THAT would attract.

Flyers in a game shop - whatever happened to the good old "Your distant uncle Vlad you'd never heard of has died and left you his castle in the Carparthian mountains" scam? ;)
