I know lots of you hoped, with the preceding cliffhangers, that Kimber Lee would somehow find a way to turn the tide, but no… this mega, long-lasting battle is finally over… And Kimber Lee suffered badly (I'll leave the nature and extent of her injuries to your imagination)…
.
But the story is far from over!
.
Why in the world did Eli lose Kimber Lee? Seems like she'd be the thing he'd hang on to at all cost! But he didn't (couldn't?) and there is a reason…
.
And the military arrives just OUT of nick of time!! Avenger Drones!! Piloted aircraft may have been a better choice but in my research these drones just looked too cool not to use! And since no military has ever had to actually fight an indestructable giant, none of us can really say what the best tactic is (maybe the Tac Nuke our drone pilot mentioned…)
.
Kimber Lee is down, but she ain't out! Please stick with me!
.
Thanks for Reading Everyone!

@Barry: I'm sorry - it's true... :(

@Bravo: No I always like your input in these situations, as long as you allow me movie-logic (movies mess up military stuff all the time...). And Ya know I thought about removing the 'Navy' script on the side just to avoid confusion - maybe the drones are on loan, and all the pics I found of Avenger Drones were land-based (I know there are carrier pics - I just didn't see them). I actually did consider A-10's but I read they got de-commisioned!

Oh, No! Too late?!! It can't be true! Poor Kimber Lee.

I'll shut up now and go back to writing worthless Crap Noone reads.
bravo1102 at 6:40AM, Nov. 2, 2015
Eli survived all the stuff they threw at him at the base and you send a pinpoint strike weapon like a drone when an A -10 could put some laser guided 500 pound bombs into him? Quite a bit bigger than a Hell fire which designed to kill individual tanks and other pinpoint targets not huge giantselection who shrug off tank rounds.
bravo1102 at 6:28AM, Nov. 2, 2015
Nah an A-10 looks so much cooler than any drone. So does an F-18 if you gotta go with the Navy. The military would want visual verification of the specific target which you only get with a pilot. And how far inland is this the Navy doesn't like to fly too far away from water. Besides an avenger drone doesn't have the kind of ordnance load for a mission like this.

@Tupapayon: "Because I choose to..." One of the greatest monologues in the history of sci-fi! (Roy Batty's 'Tears on the Rain' death speech, from Blade Runner, tops them all!)

"Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why? Why do you do it? Why, why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting... for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson. Vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although... only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?"
