I've wrestled with the ‘plausibility’ of this page!
Could you hold as hostage someone so important to a powerful group leader that everyone in that group would stop fighting if you threatened decapitation? I tried to imagine holding a gun to a mob boss's daughter or wife's head - and I could really imagine all the mobsters willing to stop fighting so as not to risk the boss's wrath…
But then, why would someone so important be allowed into a killing zone? Well, again, I imagined a son/daughter/young lover of a mob boss giddily eager to get in on the action, to be a part, to throw around her authority (as the boss's special person), and the boss acquiescing and letting her go, with the understanding she has to be careful, to not get on the front line…
Gah… oh well, I can also imagine people doing all sorts of implausible things (people being idiots sometimes…) so maybe that's what happened here!

A mob boss or super villain would have to let you hurt her. Or else look weak or vulnerable. But then, they would blame you for hurting her.

I like the coloring job on this page. Eli probably just got cocky and figured his minions weren't in any serious danger.

Thanks!! My new scanner and Gimp seem to make the coloring richer, plus with Gimp you can 'enhance' it more than I could. And true, if Kimber Lee wasn't there, the minions wouldn't be in much danger at all!!

Awesome! Kim's dialogue is great, with the Harley Quinn wannabe and 'punt your head to San Antonio', haha! Hmmm...I didn't even think of the "sending your favorite into danger angle" until you mentioned it. I would imagine Eli would send EVERYBODY - his self preservation is probably a much higher priority than anything else. I like the sinister smile in the last panel! Dripping with malice! So has Eli arrived...or is that someone else? A certain...JC...?

And Eli's going to play at being the Greek Titan again? Eli probably sent out his "Harley Quinn wanna be" knowing it would piss Kimber Lee off and hoping she'd be taken hostage so he could make a big entrance. Sometimes people send lambs off to the wolves hoping they'll get slaughtered so they can be forgiven if they get bloodthirsty themselves.
