The frustration helps build up tension in the story, like a boiler with a faulty pressure release, you know it has to explode sooner or later and one big bang is surely more impressive than lots of little ones.

Quite the predicament. I guess the way to go is just hide your abilities until the world really needs them. And when that happens, maybe they'll praise you instead of burn you at the stake. Or at least, they'll praise you before they do it.

Become enough of a hero and the differences won't matter. Stronger and faster? Be a savior. Smarter? Be a leader. Turn differences into positives. Or brood. Makes for a good story but a boring life.

Got caught up! It's an adjustment, reading this style of comic, but I'm liking it - definitely a handier format for doing an introspective page like this one! Your art really pops on these pages by the way; great pitchers!
