Sup guys! another page. I have a comic habit. (actually that makes me think of nuns…)
I keep on getting distracted and doing this comic! gah! actually, around times of stress (aka finals) I always get really creative and arty. I wrote this huge novella thing in high school during finals in sophomore year… it was like a fever overtook me. Same with this comic– it's 3 am, I should have gone to bed long ago, but here I am putting up new comic pages. alas, the life of a highly passionate (and dubiously talented) artist…
is it just me, or are random people on the internet like, insanely good?? idk I see people's art who are art majors, and I'm like, ‘ehh.’ but so much of the art I see on the internet is just.. so… drool-worthy!
Wow, random tangent.
Anyway.
Here's this page! funny story, about the knife-throwing… I was hanging out with my sister's special friend Kasia, who was born in Poland and grew up there (in this time period! woot!) and she said that they played some game where they threw knives into the ground. And I asked her wat the game was called, and she said something in Polish, which apparently means “knives”. I thought it was funny, and wanted to have it happen here too!! so shout-out to the kash.
oh and! I thought my story was getting too long so I didn't put in this scene, so this is the first time this scene has seen (wow a lot of scenes and seens) the light of day. :D feel privileged!
OK THX GUYS
and vote for me on TWC!!

I hope those children don't tell on him. D: Haha...knife throwing is a child friendly game, I guess. XD What could possibly go wrong? :D

Beautiful. Somehow reminds me of Satà (french album), which is good. Keep up the good work :)

ha ha you're a nun

Read up to current. This is so different from your previous comic! A generic assassin manga adventure to a comic I think very few people can pull off. It is like you have grown up. :) And I didn't know that you knew so much about this part of the world. I am impressed. I give you a 10 if I can.

This comic is beautiful, and it's so wonderful to hear a story about the mother country.
darkwaterfrey at 9:57AM, April 26, 2009
Opps! Forgot to rate!

Awesome! Faved.
Aghammer at 6:39PM, April 23, 2009
wow, he needs to be a lot more careful! I played a game with knives in Jr High in Cali :) A stupid game, but there you go. Very nice page. Yes, there are some AMAZING people on the internet (including you)...
Twilight_of_the_gods at 5:36PM, April 23, 2009
he's quite naive, isn't he?
Kristen Gudsnuk at 2:28PM, April 23, 2009
oh no! I forgot to color in the chubby kid's hair in the last panel!
Kristen Gudsnuk at 2:27PM, April 23, 2009
Patoborracho: lo hare! gracias~! Theorah: well, more or less around the time... but the coolest part was that she's from Poland, which is really nearby, so she'd have had a significantly Eastern European childhood. I wanna go to Lithuania/Poland... :D (I'm also 1/4 Polish!) But yeah, Kasia has some awesome Poland anecdotes.
theorah at 1:17PM, April 23, 2009
lol what a fantastic game XD how interesting that you know someone who grew up around the time of your comic though, thats very interesting! What kind of early life did she have I wonder? :)
patoborracho at 9:32AM, April 23, 2009
Es complicado para mi traducir paginas, yo tampoco soy bueno en ingles :p, Pero si podrias mandarme por PQ los dialogos ya traducidos al español, y yo corregiria los errores

it's a joke! the knives thing. heh? I wanted to get across that he wants to play like a normal kid (who doesn't?) but he has this higher obligation to "be a good person" that is often taxing. I'll try to bring it into another scene somewhere so that it doesn't come across as so out-of-character. yay! peipei: therein lies the conundrum: they have to pass out the samizdat, but they have to do it on the sly, so as not to get caught... Ludeshka: yay thanks for voting :3 I do this in watercolor, actually; the picture with the mirror and the newspaper clippy one are the only ones I did in acrylic. thx guyz for the comments!!
Ludeshka at 7:11AM, April 23, 2009
Oh, there's the link, nevermind my previous comment.
Ludeshka at 7:10AM, April 23, 2009
I want to vote, but I don't know how O_o I've finished reading the archive and I loooooooove your art. (is it all done in acrylics? I'm envious! XD)
Lemniskate at 4:44AM, April 23, 2009
He doesn't know his bible very well if he accepts the "Jesus played with knifes" story so fast...
Peipei at 4:16AM, April 23, 2009
Oh man...He better stop showing that or his family will get screwed up x.x. Doesn't he remember what his sister said she would do if he were caught? x.x

I think I missed the okaying with knives verses of the Bible. It's in the book of "Stab," no?
