Wow. Sleep depravation!! But it was alot of fun. When I get pictures I'll post them. And by that I mean when I get pictures that weren't taken by my mother (autofocus…) I'll post them. I met tons of awesome people, who are all either leaving to work at summer training centres or have gone off to their other provinces. Oh well, that's what the internet is for, right? Anyways, quick cover page I doodled in class- Featuring Danny Zed and Diane P. More to come soon… ~Kristin *EDIT* Everyone go check out www.vinyl-dog.ca - it's done by another Naval officer I was on course with. And he rocks. Mightily. So go!
That's why the Navy is the best!! (it's boobs are bigger)
Powerpoint is always terrible... A non-creative tool in the hands of morons! People should just go back to booring lectures with overhead transparencies. At least they actually put real effort into those and they had so much LESS CRAPPY CLIPART AND SHITTY TEMPLATES!
Oooooh yes, the death by power point. I think anyone who has taken a course at RCIS (Pra) will agree with you on that!
Glad to hear you had a good time. The ppl with you totally make a huge difference.
See you tonight!
military inducions and base intros, are all bloody powerpoint, when we had to do it we were left in a room alone wthe a computer and a projector, and told we had 6 hours to watch all the powerpoints. It took us half a hour before got bored and I suggested to put in some of my porn in to watch. I had some DVD's in my kit swag, after a while a few other people came in to the room and started watching with us. When the ficks were over, I turned on the lights to change disks, and I found the people who came in and watched it with us were coxwains a PO, a chief, and a kellic.
Within five hours of getting off the trasport bus, I got myself marched to the disiplin office and got a charge on my first day on a new base. A new record, and one thats yet to be broken.
Ahh, nice to see you again - at least you have a valid excuse for not updating in awhile :)
Good to hear that you're enjoying yourself, even if you aren't getting enough sleep. Tom (the guy I know whose doing his basic training) said pretty much the same thing.
