I have my doubts as to whether her grip in panel 1 is really effective, but I just couldn't resist adding a bunch of gratuitous swirly spinny choreography!

That's why it's only "slice" and not chop in half. That's the thing with two handed weapons. You have to recover from strikes. However, an orc has the advantage of strength that she can swing more readily adjust her grip from hand to hand without dropping the weapon.
It is possible to swing an object around like that (I tried it with a broomstick), but I'm not sure how much power it would deliver. And if the blow had missed its mark, her arms would have been wrapped up like a pretzel!
I see what you are saying about the hand holding her broad sword. But I think it works with the swing. It is very beautiful barbaric pose, especially from a back block.

That perfect sneak-up-behind-her plan just suddenly got less perfect.

Don't know if a human could manage that, but an orc probably could. Orcs have greater muscle mass than humans.

This comic is choreographed in classic Kung Fu movie style: a cool pose is always more important than martial arts accuracy! LOL
