The Legend of the “Mutya” or “Mutya sa Puso ng Saging” (Dew drop from the Banana Flower)

Legends tell about a dew drop falling from a banana plant flower. This dew drop is supposed to give a receiving human extreme powers and can communicate with ethereal beings. The whole thing should occure in midnight. A brave one should wait for a banana plant flower, to bend down and he should catch the dew with his mouth before it touches the ground. Upon doing so, hideous monsters would wrestle the receiver in great fury. The person should never let go of the dew in his mouth. If so, the unseen demons would rip him to shreds. If he's lucky to survive this, he is believe to be as strong, as fast, as powerful as any super man.
Halihana's mother just did that, took and swallow a mutya dew and survived the night.
