That's right, it's the Cigarette Smoking Girl! XD Now we know her name's Martha!
Also, Ex factis jus oritur means “Law that arises from the facts” as in, a certain pre-existing, non-criminal situation.
Basil was a law student after all, some of it is bound to show :) There was a life before the war struck.
Lastly, the name Antartes is Greek for Resistance, and I am using it like that because at the time yet there was no official name for Resistance folk, and the ones Basil is refering to are specific people. They did get their official names soon enough, but at the time we are (October 1942) they were still relatively unofficial.
Yet. ;)
More or that to come! BUT PLEASE! Those of you who know what I am talking about, don't give it away! If you want to ask if you've guessed right PQ me :)
Woo! Looks like I picked the right week to start playing catch-up with all my regular DD reads!
Congrats on the feature! The subject matter and distinctive art style make this one especially well deserved! Well done, Tantz!
Used Books: That first panel was TORTURE to make the lineart of- believe me, it took me an entire afternoon's allocated comic making time.
It's a more or less traditional indoors arrangement of a two-story house in Plaka, of a family that is middle class (not upper middle class, though there are indications they are investing in upwards social mobility).
I'm happy you like it! :D I was decided from the get go in this comic not to cut corners when it comes to backgrounds.
Hey congrats on (another) feature! ^_^
The story and art are a world apart from Wolf and yet this is also totally deserved.
I know I keep saying this, but I really dig the environments/setting/backgrounds in this comic. That first panel makes it feel like a really neat place I'd like to visit (you know, under different circumstances, heh).
