Well, thanks everyone for the well wishes, I am feeling quite better! I even managed to conquer our yard and relinquish it from 5 billions leaves that took over. Hence the idea for this one.
The killer part is that I know we'll be doing it again in a couple weeks. bah.
When you don't have to do yard work.... you'll miss it!
I have NO yard... no trees... and yes I miss the feeling after it is done!!
(^O^) glad you feel better!!
PR: ain't it tho?
crocty: I love drawing blissful Fred! Oh, and about the sock-tail... I don't intend for Fred to wear it all the time- kind of a special occasion thing LOL. The one time I criticized myself for forgetting it was during a storyline where he had it on earlier. But thanks!
Toonman: luck bastard! LOL, thanks man! back from CA?
jurbas: you get hot in autumn? man it's hard to imagine seasons unlike the typical that I know!
DOm: meeeeeee toooooo... ;0)
Midge: Glad you liked Z's observation! That's where I'm trying to go with this comic... unique observations that make us humans ask, "yeah. WHY???"
SpANG: thanks for the tidbit there, man! Interesting, learn somethin' new everyday! ... and I mean that about the link you posted, not the leaf blower idea, although I laughed at that!!
antcomics: funny theory, LOL. I think I like it.
madscott: Nope, same old routine as of now. But thanks! Must just be the pretty, pretty leaves....
maninblack: thanks friend!
PP: I think more adults should jump in the piles and act like kids.. maybe we'd like it more.
heymelby: brilliant!
Fitz: oh no! Poor Fitzy :0( methinks the main page here should change to "SickDuck" for a while, everyone's been getting it!
dantheman: *nods emphatically*
LanceDanger: aww, the beautiful colors make up for the leaf-raking... but, hey, no sub-zero winter weather, right?
brock: indeed, man. Not that I shouldn't have been sleeping, but, yes ;0)
It seems I took the illness over from You! I'm shivering and shaking, even as I'm sitting in this severely overheated room, I'm all sore and my ears hurt. Strangely enough, no fever whatsoever, so no sick leave for Fitz :( And yes it does seem humans do this for the dogs to pounce on the heaps. Here, however, people tend to burn the leaves - and never does it cross their minds that someone might not like to inhale the humongous mass of nosebleeding stench :/
Get a leaf blower and make it your neighbor's problem, that's what I say!
On a scientific note, did you know that falling leaves is a way for tress to fight for space, light, and food from other plants? It's actual 'chemical warefare' going on! Listen to this!
Raking leaves is the most mundane, tedious thing tha thas ever been. Zorphbert's question is a good one...Why the heck do we rake them? I think they look pretty with all their varied colors! or maybe I am just lazy.
Raking leaves was soooo fun... but then I got too old to jump in the leaves. I'm glad I live in AZ and don't have to worry about that anymore, LOL! I'm glad you're feeling better Dawn.

japlander: I could never imagine missing yard work itself, but I'd miss the smell of fresh cut grass... mmm...

Very cute, Dawn. Sorry you haven't been feeling well, but at least you got a great strip out of it, right?

madscott at 7:24AM, Nov. 12, 2007
did you change how you color? It looks great!
antcomics at 7:13AM, Nov. 12, 2007
I never rake leaves. They're called 'leaves' for a reason, that's my theory...'leave' them laying there on the ground. Nature'll do the rest.
