Movie Poster Cameo-paolooza! Hope you can make them out. Sorry I couldn't fit you all in! I'm sure I'll do this again sometime, get the people I didn't “posterize” this time ‘round.
Got my 2nd rejection letter today. I’m growing more and more numb to this. I used to get disappointed, now I just think, “oh, right, THERE it is…”
Jurbas: That's right! Your movie was finally released!
angel: heh, funny thing is I work for the company that makes those pretzel bites you get at theaters.. So I very accustomed to dealing with them, LOL!
harryq: well, it was a thank-you for always dropping by! I appreciate the support, but as I said... I just expect to get another set of rejection letters at this point. It's no biggie, hopefully I find my "home" online.
SpANG: LOL, love your punchline even more! Thanks, I'm hoping to send some submissions or fanart out to those online places as well. Soon!
reconjsh: Nothing beats the GP kids!
Midge: aww, very nice of you to say that! I'm flattered ;0) I'm sure a [b/h] movie would contend with the likes of, say, ironman.
crocty: It's a crime, isn't it? Sad part is a lot of the newspaper comics I see just plain suck (except for.. Um.. Get Fuzzy, Pearls & Boondocks)... I guess I don't meet THAT criteria! LOL
antcomics: I've been submitting since I was 14. I'm used to rejection. It's totally NOT based on talent, but right-time-right-place and what will SELL SELL SELL. I believe Z&F could make $$$, even get an animated series.. But needs to find it's place in the world.. Which may never happen. Truth is I just can't imagine my life without comics... I'd rather keep trying and get rejected all my life than give up and spend my evenings glued to the sh*t they run on TV. Aaak. Thank you for the support, you Duckers truly make sticking to a schedule and cranking these out worth it!
Bummer. They just don't know good work when they see it. Sheesh...honestly Dawn, I look at the comics in the paper nowadays and wonder why the f*** Z&F isn't 'good enough' to be in there.
I still admire how you keep perservering. I'd have crumpled up into a tiny ball and probably stopped drawing forever after the first rejection =p hehe
Anyhow. Hope your fanbase here keeps your spirits up. I know the responses I get here at DD are what keeps me crankin' out the comics.
Also cheers for the Adam cameo! :)
dawn, sorry about the rejects rejecting your work. That market is so hard I here to get into. Your work deserves to be syndicated. its head and shoulders above what they are currently running in the funny pages.
thanks for the lovely cameo.
I wonder how the tickets sales are for the [blood/hound] movie.
Sorry about the rejection letter. I hope a collective sees your talents, and welcomes you in.
I could see you totally fitting in with TH3RDWORD.COM or BOXCAR comics!
Aw, you know you didn't have to do that! It did put a grin on an old farts' face! Sorry about the rejection. Some people are clueless to your artistic ferocity. We love you, kid!
