Salt the Holly is one of my favorite web comics on the internets, mostly because Jess and Amanda do such a great job with their characters! Not only from a design sense (the latest page has them dressing up all fancy for a night out on the town), but also from a personality sense.

Seymour's official rebound girl (aka: amanda) will be interested to note that, no, Seymour does not die on today's Temple update!

“Mop Top” is funny. The girl is appropriately snobby both in dialogue and expression.

I like the sequence on the latest page of Morph Man. The guy running across sharp spikes while a demon beast chances him. Good stuff!

@ Doctor Shadow The Chronicles of Wyrden… I really enjoy the pacing of the story. It is not fast paced which for me I enjoy. You are fleshing out the story and the pacing really suits because its a bit of a mystery in this fantasy setting. I enjoy the art as well. Very different than your common web-comic fair.

It's so unique. And it's very eye-pleasing. The red/black/white color schema is very nice.
May have to check back on that soon ;)

Ryuthehedgewolf: Ryus Krew: Very nice colors in the art work, vibrant even. The drawings are simple but well done and on top of that they are fun. :) I really liked the ‘Grim Reaper’ in the last panel. It looks like you've got an interesting story that is starting out here. Great work so far, I'd be interested to see where this will go. :)

George the Dragon is a great strip for so many reasons. It has bright colors and is well-drawn. George is a fun character. He's witty, sometimes intimidating and sometimes clueless. The humor comes through on every update, and Loud_G is always playing with the panel layouts and flow to make for fantastic comedic “timing.” In addition to all that, the comic is unique in it's subject matter. It is easily the best humorous dragon comic strip on DrunkDuck. ;)

George the Dragon is very entertaining - that little sheep icon has been taunting me, so I finally broke down and investigated. The concept is fun - poor misunderstood George.

Sporadic Man should have more updates! I have so decreed.

EDIT: Ninja-d by UsedBooks! This is one of my favorite comics ever. There's so much emotion and intelligence breathed into these characters - they feel like real people! It's cool to see you getting more experimental with angles and page layouts (these are things I *should* say in the comments, but all I can talk about is Tristan and Seiko, ha).

Valid, I gotta say I really love the depth and focus you used in the latest ish of American 007 - you're attempting things with sprites that I don't think anyone's ever thought to attempt before, and I greatly respect that.

I had fun reading through “Age of ends.” The pace is good and the writing is really witty. The panel layouts added some interest but were also nice and simple, so there was no trouble following it. (As opposed to the comics that have “busy” pages where it's hard to tell in what order events happen.) I'm not sure how much of it you “assist” on, but the writing is fun and the art works well. I especially liked the rain effects on the first pages, and the angles were all planned well and well executed.

Used Books is about suspense and unpredictable circumstance. The characters evolve through every mishap, hardship and moral dilemma, and the stakes are always upped. I am hooked and find myself rooting for several of the characters- and of course, I really enjoy the way each page drives home a point or leaves you hanging and thirsting for the next :) Keep it up Vickie!

I've been a reader and a fan of Trevor's comic, The Temple of a Thousand Tears, from the start. It's a dark, deep, sad story of great emotions - love, sorrow, longing, hatred and vengenace. It's told in black and white, the only color appearing - quite often - is red. Blood red. Yes, there's lots of fighting - but character development is by no means neglected. So join the Swordsman and a group of pilgrims on their quest.

Do it!

Really nice, atmouspheric art you've got there, Fitz. It's an interesting style… hardly ever showing the characters talking gives the impression that they're hidden away from human view like all mice.

I've read throughout the entire archive od Salt The Holly and it does keep you on the edge of your seat. Things do start slow but when it picks up… IT PICKS UP.

I wasn't really expected all that action throughout the comic but you'll be in for a surprise with the great plotline.

The latest page of Electronic Revolutions has good non-verbal communication in the panels. You can tell that the scene is tense, that the character feels defeated, and that there's more going on here than what's contained within this single page. It actually inspired me to click back a ways and learn more about the story. Nicely done!

###

In today's update, Trevor got something for Laura.

We're about to come full circle here, with the battle between the swordsman and Malukai reaching a climax! We're about to come back to the very first page of the comic, and then finish out.

Also, we hit 100 pages! Kick ass!

Your inking and artwork has definitely improved over time. I imagine it'll look fantastic after a hundred more pages if you keep it up at this rate.

American007 definitely stands out from other sprite comics because it doesn't just look like something just filled with Copy+Pasting; it's quite plain that there's effort being put into making it, especially with the later pages. Nice stuff!
