well thats what the A rating is for. and it's prolly better that adult comics don't get featured on the front page otherwise they might prompt some sort of puritan censorship backlash.

Its sad most of the western world would laugh at what prudes we are about sex & nudity.

I've thought sometimes there should be a whole separate portal for the A comics on DrunkDuck. Not to get them away from the other comics, but to give them the space to just do whatever and not feel like they're some kind of unfortunate subgroup of the regular site.

I believe the bug in reference is the one that used to allow people to update their comic and then delete the updated comic and update again so that their comic would stay in the most recently updated list.

Also, I like Skool's separate portal idea but I doubt it's gonna happen.

Yes, that's the bug. The comic would also show up on the Favorites list as TODAY, and would send out the e-mail notices to people who had signed up for that. Then when they visited, there would only be old comics.

I think it still works to some degree, but usually it annoys the comic's readers and so people don't do it. Annoying your regular readers is something most people generally try not to do.

I haven't come across that then. I guess I just updated at a time that many other people did and I was quickly bumped off. It doesn't happen that often so I thought something was going on.

Hmm the quacks are starting to come in from others who skool monkee has wronged. I'm not going to post this persons name but Skool Monkee can confirm this is a quack I received. I also would warn her against posting the persons name in anger since he might want to remain anonymous. I just post this as proof that she is not always the nice person she appears to be when running with her popular kid cliques. If your not in her friends circle she tends to treat you very nastily.

I used to run a adult comic on here and when somebody mentioned it in a thread, the mod Skoolmunkie returned replies such as “folks showing support for one of their favorite simple smut comics” and “If the retooling involves drawing the comics instead of just tracing naughty pictures, then you have my support”. I had never made a comic before and was testing the water and my abilities.

Neither I thought were particularily nice comments from somebody maintaining and endevouring to promote/encourage a community of like minded artists. It is clear that admin-ship means steering the ship towards what she prefers.

Anyway, what I am trying to say is.. don't be like me and get totally pissed off and jack it all in, fight on brother :)

How am I supposed to confirm you've received a private message from someone? Admins don't have access to anything like that. And if you think he might want to remain anonymous, does he know you're posting his message here? He'd be quite easy to find with a google search.

Yeah yeah, I'm sure there are people on the site who have been, or at least think they have been, wronged by me. I'm not going to sit here while you try and take an accounting of all of them. I hope they come out of the woodwork and all PQ you that they think you're right. I really couldn't give a damn what people think about me, I have better things to do with my time and effort than worry that people on the internet don't like me. There's nothing about this job that says I have to be 100% sunshine all the time. I'm nice most of the time because I'm a nice person and I believe more is acheived that way. If I have a failing in that respect it's because it means that it's my own fault that I've made it so when I AM less than perfectly nice, people think I must hate them.

I'm still allowed to have opinions about a craft I love, and I am completely unwilling to take the blame for someone else packing it all in because I made a less than positive comment about a comic. You post stuff on the internet for people to see, you have to accept that some people are going to say something about it you don't like. Believe it or not, but I feel that sometimes supporting means offering criticism. I have nothing against smutty comics, but I'm not a fan of traced photos. Big deal. At the same time, he had a much greater number of people saying they DID like the comic (even one of the other admins), a number of people following the comic, and people had a little sig banner campaign going- so I don't know why my comment held so much more weight than all of theirs. I can't be held accountable for that kind of decision-making. I'm one person on the internet and no one else needs to give a damn about what I say either.

And, I'd like to point out that again, this is a case of someone NOT coming to me after I've inadvertantly hurt them, and instead just keeping it to themselves and only bringing it out much later when it's much too late for me to apologize, but it IS convenient for someone to use to try and make me look bad. I'm not going to be sorry about something that happened ages ago that apparently wasn't important enough to that person at the time to tell me that I'd hurt them. If someone thinks I've been a dick I'm more than happy for them to call me out on it right then and there. I am usually very apologetic in those situations and more than willing to admit I'm wrong. I'm not going to do the same thing if it's not brought up until six months later.

That was really, really retarded. Yes, that's the conspiracy theorist in you. Admins cannot change that, you dingbat. No one can do that, it's not a feature. Pageviews are the ammount of times your page is loaded, so people reading your whole archive would give you the amount of pages you have on to your pageviews. There is no way to make it so that only unique viewers count.

You pageviews dropped because now only the intended audience can see it. Kids with Cat on Dog action fetishes can't view your comic anymore. But I'm sure if you just advertise it now as an adult comic, it'll get better viewers.

Oh! Here's an idea for a banner:
“*Image of a cat humping a dog* Morning Squirtz: Yes we have cats fucking dogs. Polish your pecker and click on this link!”

That would explain it thanks. Now I will be writing a letter to Platinum I had no idea Skool monkee was going to f%@k us so hard with that s#%T. I think we'll take our 6k page views a day and growing & concentrate them on our site. Sad that after 4 years Skool finally got us good. I will be handling this how the big kids do lawyer up guys. I'm no little kid I'm a RL business owner who will contact the ACLU & the comic defense fund and I'm more then willing to pay a few bucks to start an actual lawsuit. Have fun explaining how after four years you arbitrarily punished me with a rating increase.

Our content hasn't changed for 4 years. Skool admitted all the mods were very familiar with our stuff. So what changed? We can sure show harm from her actions. We went through the same kind of thing with project wonderful. I would hope that once Platinum realizes how serious we are much like project wonderful they will set things right.

I know exactly what this refers to since I was the one who started the sig banner campaign to bring back that comic.

I can't see anything remotely offensive about the comments Skool made that you quote here - I thought they were made with her usual good humour and that's a big part of what I love about this site. If you don't love the site, why stay? You're posting as though you're the victim of some oppresive system, when the only reason for you to be here is personal choice - PQ me if you're not aware of alternative hosts and I'll post you a list.

But really, you're a grown man. From the descriptions of the ratings, you should have known that an A rating was appropriate for your comic to begin with.
Skoolmunkee just did something that should have been your responsibility to do correctly years ago. Stop acting like a kid.

Every mature comic will have to be gone through to make sure they don't contain adult images. It will turn into a witch hunt with lots of bad feelings. As for leaving I love this site and have lots of friends and fellow creators who have done Morning Squirtz for us. We even won an award this year for being deliciously offensive. To bad Skool had to be so unprofessional yet again.

Wow, you're completely ignoring what I'm saying to you. You are an adult. It should be your responsibility to make sure that your comic is appropriately rated and not being shown to people who it is not appropriate for - in this case, minors.
You showed us all how immature you are not only by not rating your comic responsibly, but by complaining about it when someone else had to step in and do the job for you.

I guess maybe that reply is kinda unprofessional. Oh man, that's the fourth incident of my being mean in my 4-year history adminning this site, what will I do? :(


Anyway it's becoming pretty clear to me that this is all slimredninja's way of trying to get himself publicity.

I strongly suspect that the ‘sent PQ’ is fake, because again I'm called a ‘mod’ there, which I already called out slimredninja for repeatedly mislabeling me as, and the repeated problem of misspelling my username, which slimredninja also keeps doing. I'm checking up on whether that has been faked with the person in question, and if it has been, slimredninja will have hell to pay. Whether the unnamed person actually sent the PQ or not, this thread has ceased to have any real purpose other than as slimredninja's platform for his increasingly idiotic and insane conspiracy ideas. He's just ignoring all the reason that people are presenting him with and keeps coming up with new superfluous arguments to try out.

I don't have any problem with someone trying to get attention for their comic, but I have a major problem if they do it in a drama whoring destructive way. slimredninja has suddenly popped up on the forums again now that his comic is back in the top ten, and he's trying to play games just like he has before. Given his past of exploiting things because “no one said he couldn't” and “other people were doing it” (and now “no one minded before” ) I'm strongly inclined to think that this is all a stunt.


slimredninja, if you have an actual issue with any of the admins or their actions on the site, please do contact Platinum. Doing things like this on the forum aren't actually going to get you anywhere.
