I post because its fun. While it will eventually get my banner out (haven't made that yet lol). It's fun to talk to the other people on here and get to know the other members of the community, regardless of who makes comics or not.

Those who barely have or dont have a comic are mainly just readers, and I definitely know we can't get enough of them! :D

I've never been much of a forum person, but I post on occasion to give my own thoughts to threads like this one. I'm focusing on at least four comics I'm writing right now to see which ones are even possible to publish, and I'm just checking out the forums to see what other people are saying. Maybe even chip my two cents in the pile.

*looks around a little* I've also noticed the views for my comics go up a little every time I post.

I post for the lulz.

Someone has to counteract the sheer idiocy.

Same here! I recall at least two separate occasions, on which I was called Fritz lol!

As for the reason why I'm here… I come here for different reasons. Sometimes I have something to say or show. Sometimes I just read what others have to say. Sometimes I'll add my 3 cents. Sometimes I don't - because either the discussion's progressing well on its own without me, and whatever I say will either be redundant or off-topic. The bottom line is, it's an interesting place, with interesting people and topics.

As for plugging my work via the forums - doesn't seem to work for me pretty much at all. I get more views if I update at an early hour and make more friends. Which I also make through the forums, sometimes. Either way, doesn't happen all by itself. Or maybe I'm not posting in the right topics? I do admit I've been avoiding threads about favorite ice-cream etc. My bad?

I had a forum with my friends (real friends). I have a DD web comic. My forum died soon after I joined DD. I tried here. I liked it.


I keep on thinking I'll spend less time here, and so far I have stopped posting in TD, because of the commitment, although it was fun while I did it. I also made a new forum for me and my friends, so I will post less.

I should post less.

Yeh i post comics and post in the forum

Pretty much I post in the forums because I write just like compulsive artists sketch. When I get tired of forum writing I skip back to a pure chatroom site I know about wherein anything goes, but the writer is also expected to be able to really, really write.

Still, since I upload a new strip every day I guess that my forum input is fairly evenly balanced between my strip and this stuff. I stumbled across a formula that lets me put a new strip up, from thought concept to upload, in as little time as a couple of hours. Since it's the concept work that takes the time, if I have a nice backlog of established concepts or gags, I can get a strip done and uploaded in under an hour.

On the other hand, while I am doing other work on the computer I can pause and pound out a forum entry in no time flat. So I guess it does even out.

I balance, but I mostly post in the forums so that people will check out my comic. ^_^

Because no one respects me in school.
Er… not like it's any different here on the internet. But at least I feel like I have some bit of dignity.

Like others have said, I post because I find it fun. From what I've seen, the people are cool. Plus, I just like… posting, I guess. When I have something to say, anyway.
No comic (yet!), so nothin' to plug. Talking alone is fine enough for me right now.

pssh, i have no idea how to post on forums, mainly i stick to my comic but i'm trying to post more on the forums and be apart of community.

I don't really know, I didn't post at all at first, and then not much. Interestingly enough it was only after I deleted my comics that I actually started posting more here. I suppose drawing frustrates me so much I just don't feel like acting like an utter moron with people I don't know and will probably never meet.
