Well, you submit a “hero” Here and here. And they'll eventually get drafted into some action in the comic.
If you want to go for the extra credit approach (completely optional, but well looked upon.) you could create your own sidecomic for the Civil War, finding people who want their characters to participate with yours and post the link here.
Other than that, make random threats at Zacettes' moms, engage in forum games or contribute art to the city design and sketching of other peoples if you so feel inclined.
