Dal'righty. This is my first post, so don't kill me please-
I'm new to this website, and I was marking ideas for a comic book to make. I was going to start with a NSFW one, but some lads really wanted me to make a comic out of a fan fiction I barley remember making; a Unikitty fan fiction.

Well, crap just went down here. But wait- I usually make random fan fictions as a result of me being bored or I just wanted to practice some writing stuff, but a few lads actually liked it.
Hear me out, dal'right? I hate the show so goshdarn much, but I love Unikitty's character in the Lego Movie. She was so badass I swear-

Usually when I make a fan fiction on something I hate, I usually fix it up in ways I like it like giving it a point in its existence. Let's say “Mapleshade's Vengeance” which is a novella in the warrior series created by Erin Hunter. That book was horribly written and it glorified murder. So I just put some pieces together and made it have a point. So my version of that story's theme was how horrible events can ruin someone's psychological health horribly instead of the book just being “M U R D E R Y A Y!!!”. That's one of unikitty's problems, but their problem is that they have no point in their existence. They don't teach anything but bullsh*t.

So I must ask, would you rather my comic be a a NSFW where the point hits harder, or something everyone can read?

So while I get that fixed up, im currently working on a South Park comic. I'll release it very soon hopefully. Well, hopefully I get something on my first thread. Later, lads and lasses.

Fan-fics are a good way to pick up a lot of readers if you market it to the fan basses of those series (in forums or fan sites or through twitter, Instagram whatever), but your own original work (be it NSFW or something else) will give you more freedom to do what you want with it because you're not restricted by copyright.

There's always the “tribute/parody” loophole. I know folks who do copyrighted material and fly under the radar by saying it's a tribute. Love, hate the source material a lot of NSFW stuff is done of popular works.

In fact, rule #34 of all media states “ that if it exists, there is porn of it”

There's even a search category for it under “comics” so the stuff is here and is done.
