The 500th Quackcast is coming up on the 13th of October, 6 weeks away roughly…
What will we do ?

We've been casually mentioning a costumed themed thing and a large talk with a lot of us… maybe xoom, maybe some google hangouts thing, maybe a youtube live thing???????

What do you think?



It won't be a 24 hour thing like the few times we've done that though, that killed me last time we did it XD

I work weekends, so I'll not be seeing you. But if it's successful, maybe you can try another one in my off-season. (November - April) :)

For the 500th episode, I was thinking about a possibility of an open mic talent show of sorts, where users can submit clips of themselves performing music or jokes or reading stories they have written. For instance (this user) is really great at playing the marimba and wants to put on a mini concert for the drunk duck audience.

It would showcase several contributions from everyone who wants to contribute an audio clip and be more of a treat during the pandemic so we can all feel much closer.

A Zoom call could be cool, too, as that shows visual/video and is much more real time.

That's a great idea Kawaii! We should dome some newsposts about it :D

Tantz and Banes and I were talking about dressing as Vampires for it too because it's in October :)

Well I've been here for so long I guess it would be fun to finally meet everyone else on this website. I don't know that any of my talents are terribly entertaining but it's be fun to say hello.

I so wish I could chat with everyone, but that's just not possible. -_- Stupid time zones and my stupid awesome job. Lol

I'm glad for the other option suggested. Although it requires actually having a talent or something to talk about. XD I'll see if I can come up with something.

What's the time/length limit of a recorded submission? And where to send it?

The length of time would probably be advisable to keep it under ten minutes because of file size and ease of editing it all together.

FIVE minutes is best :D

I sent a short thing to Oz. Just to have my voice in the mix. My weird awkward shaky lispy voice. Lol Hope other people join too.

(I had no idea recording myself is a fight-or-flight-inducing activity. I present presentations to crowds for a living.)

Well it's not like people aren't busy on other community projects like the DD Awards or the Anthology.

Why not interview the creator behind the comic with 500 in the title? Fluffy 500? Do a race theme?
