happy Hogswatch or yule… this is as close as I'm getting to making cards this year.. I understand death/hogfather .. he isn't merry or bright but he is trying.. to go through the motions to make everyone else feel merry & bright because if he doesn't the sun wont rise but rather just a flaming ball of gas will come up in the east… and because humans need fantasy to be human.. because it is our believe in things that can not be seen like hope and love and peace justice and mercy that makes these things real.. so happy hogswatch…

Yes you have been very good this year, despite the world doing everything it could imagine to make you mean instead. If anyone would like to know the reference, it's from Terry Pratchett's "Hogfather" novel, which I consider one of the greatest Christmas stories of all time. Death has to fill in for the world's Santa Claus equivalent, the Hogfather, who is being pursued by a relentless assassin. There's a lengthy side trip into the Tooth Fairy's realm as the assassin tries to destroy belief. You can buy the book and the BBC miniseries on Amazon, but I don't think they'll arrive in time for Christmas.
Looks like it's available to view on Tubi (which seems to be free? https://tubitv.com/series/3852/hogfather?utm_source=google-feed&tracking=google-feed) and Amazon Prime (which will costs a couple of limbs).
