Strongessa, Now and Then
kalliikak on Nov. 5, 2010
This is a concept for the Strongessa, found in the deserts of Kirabo. A sort of before and after image. Thought to have been massive pumps, bringing up water from deep reservoirs beneath the desert and completely transforming the desolate sands into a lush area of lakes and farmland, the Strongessa have long since ceased in operation, neglect has left them as inactive monoliths of a time long forgotten.
i hope to have an article further explaining how the strongessa may have worked, as well as some diagrams and maps of the desert pretty soon. also, i'll be adding another narrative to the stories section by the end of the day.
added a link to the update history (at the top of the page right before the image) to help keep track of all the changes and updates to ilishuda over the weeks.
thanks for visiting.

It would seem that every system has a natural order which it strives to maintain and/or return to.

I like the subtle differences in the buildings. It gives you a good impression as to how much time has passed.
