This page starts with the aftermath of the carnage. Again, intentionally obscured to make the page accessible to both the more sensitive as well as the more hardened reader. The detail's there if you want it. I like the effect myself, since it allows you, as the reader, to fill in whatever blanks you want in your own mind's eye, which is where the story really plays out in the end.

The dicotemy of the seasoned warrior archetype against that of redemptive innocence is a theme that I find myself drawn to in my writing. Dark anti-hero's who have no hope for their own personal salvation, but still have one last spark of optimism to look towards the future beyond themselves for redemption. I guess that probably says something about me, but I digress.
