Welcome to Restaurante Macoatl where the food is abundant, the servers are friendly, and a magical green dragon named Checomal makes funny jokes filled with puns! This story is a tasty treat and the only webcomic known to induce cravings for horchata, pozole and paella in the reader. So grab a nice warm cup of champurrado and take a bite into the story.
Originally the famous Spanish webcomic, Macoatl, it is currently being translated into English by its original creator, Ruy Fernando Estrada, known as “Flinto” on The Duck. Special attention has been made to ensure no puns are lost in translation. This all-ages comic is perfect if you are interested in Latin American culture, are bilingual in español, and is a fun way to study the Spanish language.
The art is derived and largely inspired from the Aztecan style of Pre-Columbian Mexico. The digital colored comic strips are clean, vibrant and pop right off the page.
