Hi all, for those of you who are regular users of the site but don't frequent the forums, I just wanted to draw your attention to this. We've been talking about doing basically a big group skype “meet-up.” If you're interested, the thread is here: http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/forum/topic/177496/
To be held on the 21st of May on Saturday at 11am New York time. And then at the same time on the 3rd Saturday of every month afterwards.

We START at 11am New York time and continue for 10 hours, so people can come and go during that time as they need to ^_^
Sorry for the short newspost! I am at a conference Thursday through Saturday this week, and if you're reading this Friday morning I am probably in the process of giving a poorly-prepared presentation. Your regularly schedule programming will return next week!

I might not manage the first time, but it sounds amazing, and I'll definitely try on one of those Saturdays to follow. Good excuse as any to go looking for my webcam, too. ;)

OH that sounds amazing! it would be wonderful to meet everyone. but the only problem is I normally working during those hours and on a Saturday. but maybe at some point I'll be able to do that. ^-^ I really do miss how active this site used to be.

I propose a 10 hour window where people can come and go. We've done group chats after the Quackcast for almost that long without issues and it worked fine. That should allow a lot more people to join in!

Indeed. Please don't change the time for me. I am in the oddest time zone. We like it that way here. We get overlooked for all sorts of things. :-)

All the middle of the GMT zone goes up pretty badly though if we go later. Everyone in europe goes much later as does Australia. Gunwallce is way out on the extreme in NZ, he's +12 GMT, which is the furthest you can get. It's NOT good to start later! Rather we're better if we have a long stretch if time for the meetuo where anyone can join in over that period. We START at 11am NY time and have the chat window "open" for 7 or 8 hours or more, that way people can come and go as ts good for them. Gunwallace can join it when it's 8am his time etc :)

Me. I work overnights so 3 pm EST is the same as Gun Wallace's 3 am. Maybe we could schedule several so people of different zones can talk as well as early bird/night owls.
