At the turn of the first millennium a jaded Dane with a dark past joins a group of Norse Vikings as they begin to embark on a dangerous voyage of raiding and piracy. Bjorn is a tall, powerful man, a berserker, a warrior of great ferocity, but he's not well liked by most of his fellow vikings who're a very mixed crew. Not all of them are as suited to battle as Bjorn and harbour doubts as to whether they'll survive to return from the epic voyage on which they've all just begun! The art is deliciously honed and shows great characterisation and technical skill. It starts off in colour and then later moves to grey-scale. The writing is dramatic action adventure with just a dash of comedy. It is somewhat of a tribute to the “Vinland Saga”.
