Episode 161 - The Gravy Train to the Stars

Apr 7, 2014

We join our heroes attempting an ill-conceived hiking holiday on the surface of the sun... While they're getting over their stupidity let's talk about Quackcast 161! We asked people to contribute their own notions about what's cool and interesting in SciFi, as well as what they don' like and what they do not think works well. We had so many great contributions that we decided to split it into two parts, so you'll be able to catch another instalment of our space faring heroics!

Little known trick; we used a real rouge AI for the ship's computer voice. Unfortunately it ended up killing Banes shortly after the recording :(

Ah-Ha! Well you learned something there GJ! ;) Crowe DID swap his NZ pronunciation for an Aussie one and I used a very Aussie voice for him too, but he's definitely a New Zealander. Just like with the great "Aussie" actor Sam Neil.

I thought he was, too, GJ

It's a voice that requires some practice, I think. XD

Love those voices. You gotta be more goofy with the Ed Wynn voice there Banes. Cramped escape pod? I did that in Battle of the Robofemoids. http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/Battle_of_the_Robofemoids/5374993/ It's pronounced robo-fem-oid not ro-bof-em-oid. Though that is one of the gag pronunciations in the movie script.
