I couldn't resist popping The Sound of Music LP in among the junk this week. When I was in my teens I found instrumental music very inspirational for my daydreams so I used to buy a lot of new and second hand LP's and film soundtracks to listen to while doing my art. It became something of a compulsion in the end as decent instrumental music was quite hard to come by and often a new compilation album would have almost all the same tracks as a previous one. But no matter where I looked, whether second hand record stores, charity shops or even bootfairs the one record that kept continualy popping up time after time after time, was this one!!! I've nothing against the songs or the film as I like both but I've never felt the urge to own a copy of this one just because I grew sick of the sight of it. Incidentally back in my teens the section for instrumental music was always labelled ‘Easy listening’ but it seems more likely to be called Chillout now.
Anyways….next week, Lenore has vanished but is she gone? ;)

Man, this whole plot with Laura has been a thrillride. I swear I would have never imagined it would end this way, I was sure Sarah was just imagining things and it was really a tragedy. The most shocking part is that Sarah's dreams were actually what really happened. I loved the whole Lenore involvement with this, I really don't know what to think now. I wish I had read this on Halloween, hahaha. It is as if Edgard Allan Poe himself wrote it! Amazing!

Locoma!! Lovely to see you again:) I remember you used to read our comic way back so I'm not sure at what point you stopped but I can imagine your surprise when you found my writing had taken a more Gothic turn! They say you should write the stuff you like to read so being as I felt I'd written enough about teenage romance etc it felt fun to go in a new direction but I've tried to keep it as realistic and down to earth as I can still for the most part. I am a great admirer of Poe's work too as you will see later on ;)

Haha, when I was young the S.O.M. was on every Xmas and I managed to 'religiously' avoid it for about a decade, until trapped in the corner at the m-i-l's one year, too inebriated to leave B-)

Dear Sky, Here in the States I can remember seeing ads on tv for the movie.they were played endlessly. "the hills are alive with the sound of music" I grew tired of watching that perfect little happy family.However the album was such a big seller, tens of thousands of them wound up in the strangest of places. Seems Lenore wants only to contact Sarah .No she is not gone:) tommym

As Dumbledore told Harry Potter, "just because it's in your mind doesn't make it less real"! Awesome! And nice use of angles to in 1st panel to drive home the oppressive feel!
