SS7 60 Dinner at Jenny's 4

The story so far:

Sarah and her ex-girlfriend Janey have been invited to dinner by a new friend of Sarah's who came across them while they were searching for the elusive witch bottle.

Janey doesn't seem terribly impressed with Sarah's background research
into Lenore and the witch bottle and only time will tell if the whole thing has just been one long fanciful flight of imagination. :)

NicandBen: My partner and I played with squirty cream just once some years ago and all I can say is it sounded like a fun idea at the time but by next morning the sheets smelt far less than fresh!

Interesting contrast with the last strip which had a lot of background detail, to this strip which is focused entirely on the characters, which I think works well. (Talking of strip, Alison is really going into TMI territory here! (Nice that she & Jenny seem to be enjoying themselves, though it does make blood splatter duvets with police tape seem tame.) And have Sarah & Janey taken advanced levels in being unshockable? Or are they going to rewind this conversation later and go "What!!!" -g- ) Anyway interesting idea as to the Hopkins flashbacks being Sarah interpreting dreams from beyond the veil. Or possibly, as Sky says, maybe Sarah's just got an overactive imagination. Oh, and I like Janey's expression in the last frame, that speaks volumes of skepticism.

Fruitbat: I wasn't that fired up about doing this page because the conversation takes precedence over the artwork and didn't leave me any room to play. I'd sketched in some background but it seemed to make the panels look too cluttered so I decided in the end to leave the backgrounds as blank this time around. As for the conversation, I wanted to suggest that Sarah was so wrapped up in her explanation that she isn't listening to her friends anyway. Only Janey seems reasonably interested in what Sarah's saying and being a bit kinky herself anyway anything she picked up from Alison was probably music to her ears. ;)

Haha, yeah - split conversations, and you're only concentrating on yours, but later the other(s) drift into mind. Been there.
