Not a very good page for Valentines day!lol
I made a boo boo in that I'd done the Laura/Sarah pages and intended to have Sarah discuss EVERYTHING with Lucy after the concert but then it occurred to me that there is no way Sarah would sit on Laura's revelation for that long so I decided I needed to squeeze in this extra page before we move on!
This conversation is also very important because it shows a side of Lucy which hasn't really been seen before regarding her attitude to both her relationships. Laura has just mentioned that Lucy doesn't really need anyone in her life, which Sarah disagreed with and now Lucy seems very nonchalant about it too and clearly more worried about the concert falling apart than any of her relationships.

Lucy... has a point: what is she supposed to do? Abandon the whole concert she's worked so hard on, and all the other people involved, to chase after someone who has already decided to move on? Laura said she would stick around at least until the concert is done, Lucy can talk to her then. Also, even if she does 'bugger off', it's not like she couldn't visit any time she wants

Well, it's no secret that relationships with artists are difficult - as with for example Hollywood marriages. Singers Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé had a famously long-lasting marriage, which Eydie once attributed to the fact that she and Steve never ever had a serious conversation. That would NOT work with our Sarah!

Certainly one of the issues with projects such as this concert - they are heavily fulfilling but also incredibly stressful and requiring a ton of time. Lucy really threw herself into this. Makes me wonder if shes using it as a distraction so she can change her focus.

Haha, thanks!! Yeah, I sort of figured that her being guilty was a part of it. I mean, Sarah would probably want to genuinely be her friend if they met on better terms and if she had no ties to Lucy, but she's still jealous while being simultaneously guilty. And you know, I can't wait to fully get into Lucy's head on this - there has got to be an inner struggle that she's ignoring.

Gemi: I love the way you think :) That's absolutely true of course and although Sarah's upset I sense it's partly from her own feelings of guilt too from having been so mean to Laura at the night club.
