SS7 111 Sarah's discovery
skyangel on Aug. 15, 2021
Firstly, apologies for saying last week that this weeks update was going to cover Lenore's revenge on Hopkins, I was working on the double page scene at the time (because I felt his demise should be long and slowly drawn out!)and totally forgot what comes first!
Soo anyways, although WE know Sarah's found the witch bottle, she doesn't because I rather felt it was better this way and the romantic in me likes the idea she's more impressed with finding that bottle top. :)
Next week: Back at the flat for a bit where Nikki proposes her view on things for clarity and then we can get back to Hopkins.
Have a nice week!

I must say that I've been pulling for S&J for a long time now. But Sarah needs to clarify her own feelings. Nikki MIGHT be able to help her here, if she can be objective about it. But wasn't she crushing on Sarah at one point? Awfully complicated, this is.

Fred: I'm done with Hopkins and Lenore now and really enjoying giving Sarah, Janey and Nikki my full attention again for the remaining pages of this chapter. It will be about 4 pages before you guys start to see them but I'm pleased to be able to say the relationship stuff I know so many of you have enjoyed so much over the course of SS is on it's way! :)

This whole time, I had thought she seen the witch bottle. What would she really have thought if she found it; what would it prove to her and would she be capable of helping Lenore? I think it's pretty reasonable to now theorize that Lenore wanted Sarah to find the bottle and remove it to break Hopkins' cruel curse.

Gemi: You're spot on about the witch bottle but I rather like the idea that although the reader knows the bottle really exists, in Sarah's world there is never any proof because she just buried it again. In a few pages though we revisit this moment in time and see a somewhat different version of events.

Theatrical can be good, and this was good

Nic and Ben: I was afraid that pose looked a bit over theatrical so it's nice to know you liked it :) Next week is a fun page ;)
