Webcomics was the one thing I never thought Id be part of. Oh, I read em, sure, but create one? Fat chance.
Then came the Hatpire.
I originally created the Hatpire for a webcam chat I participated in. The chat was part of an ARG, a viral marketing campaign for a new vampire-themed TV show. In the chat, you had to convince a vampire you were also a vampire so she would let you into the website.
I chose to communicate by drawings, so I prepped a lot of sketches of a little vampire guy along with words, and when my turn came up, flipped through them. It was a hit and I got addicted to the character.
So theres Hatpire in a nutshell. Me? Im Becky Turpin, mid-20s with a full-time job completely unrelated to my graphic design degree. Go figure. ;)

Hatpire is a dialogue-free, cute comic featuring the adventures of a little vampire named Hatpire. He has a Plague Doctor buddy named Schnabel and a kitty as well as a host of other fellas throughout the entire comic.
