Frogman on Jan. 30, 2013

Woooooooweeeeeeee! It's been a long time! Part of the reason for that is full time employment! Hooray! Another part of that is because I wanted to finish this issue before starting to upload again. So no more long breaks! Yes, Frogman is COMPLETE! (Or it will be once this auto-scheduled page goes up). Pencils, inks, flat colours, shading, dialogue! All done! *Celebratory jig* I've even gone back and fixed some of the art I wasn't compeltely happy with.
Since it's been so long between updates, you probably want to go back and read from the start to refresh your memory. It's ok, I'll wait.
Now, there are a couple of changes I've made to how I'm handling Frogman. Once I've finished uploading the first issue, that's it for Drunkduck. Going directly to print which is preeeeetty bloody exciting for me. All professional and shit, with an ISBN for each issue (just purchased 10 this morning!)
I've refined my production process so it doesn't take me 5 years to do each issue (going all digital, baby! No more tedious inking of my own pencils!), and I'm hoping to have 3 or so out per year.
You'll be able to see previews of each issue and purchase them through the official Frogman comic website (when it's up and running).
You can also keep abreast (heh, breasts are neat…) of all Frogman developments by following the Twitter account.
I'm going to be launching the first printed issue of Frogman in April at Melbourne's Supanova Pop Culture convention. So if you're in the area, pop by and say hi! I'll be in the Artist's Alley. Not sure where my table will be located, but I'll update you when I find out!
For all you interstate and international readers, it'll be available to purchase online soon after.
And if you think, “Pfffft, I can read this first issue online, why would I want to buy a hardcopy?”, well I have news for you buddy! There's going to be an extra four pages of ‘behind the scenes’ stuff, detailing my process. AND in future issues I'll have a feedback section where I'll print emails and show fanart people send in, etc. I'll be offering a prize for ‘feedback of the month’ - a signed copy of the issue your email appears in. And don't think I'm just going to be awarding this to most arse-kissingest comment. Nope, that's not how this works. I'm looking for creativity. If you want to hilariously tell me how much I suck, you could find yourself the proud owner of a signed copy *anticipates opening the floodgates to a stream of hilarious rage bile* I'll let you know the contact email once this first issue has been uploaded.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the final 9 pages of this issue. It's good to be back.
