Emilio is experiencing what is known as a personal paradigm shift…!
.
It's back on page 107 where Jack Caleb first told Kimber Lee she died.
.
I've been posting new pages every three days like clockwork for a long time, but I've nearly exhausted the large buffer I'd built up, so my new pages will likely be coming at a slower pace very soon. I suspect every 4-5 days, but I'll get one in every week unless there's a major personal problem I'm dealing with.
.
And now I'll be eating some rattlesnake today - Buen Apetito!
.
Thanks for reading everyone!

@FC: Haha, yah sometimes no-words say so much :) I'd built up a huge backlog buffer (from back when I did pages more simply coupled with the six-week downtime this site suffered back in the fall...). But... as I've tried to get a little more detailed with my pages, my production has slowed down. It took a while to catch up to my giant buffer, but caught up with I have, so I doubt I'll get a page out every three days now. I'm hoping for 5 days per page (give or take a day depending on complexity) - we'll see... But it is a lot of work, as, in addition to telling a story, I'm using this webcomic as a tool to try to become a better artist (you don't get better without spending time on things, sadly :)

Haha panel 2 says so much... I've always been impressed by your prodigious output. I'm guessing that your style is probably pretty labor- intensive, and putting up a page every three days must be a lot of work. I hate that panic-y feeling that comes over me when I'm brushing up against the end of my page buffer...
KimLuster at 4:14AM, April 14, 2014
@Peipei: heh well I'm sure he'll think of something eventually. I also think I'd have to know the full details eventually - but maybe that's just me :)

Hahah Emilio doesn't know what to do with himself knowing that his wifey will now be doing the furniture moving from now on. :s But yeah, some questions are just better left unanswered. What if they do find an explanation for everything and it ends up being something they wish they didn't know? :S
KimLuster at 5:19AM, April 13, 2014
@plymayer: yeah, actually it did (that slightly rubbery quality). Snake, cooked right, isn't that bad, but it has more a novelty quality, imo (hey guys, I ate some snake!). It's a lot of trouble to eat. You know how eating non-filet fish, you have to pull the meat off the bones, now imagine the meat having a tougher quality, and the bones you have to pull it off are curved (snake's ribs). Still I'd recommend trying it once to say you did it ;)

Can not remember having rattle snake. Don't think I have. Have had alligator and many other things. Eels, etc. So, not cooked right? Did it taste like poorly cooked chicken?

@bravo1102: Yeah, how she's doing it - well they could've tried to make sense of it together in one of those 'boring expositions' (haha), or we can move on to some juicier stuff... I chose the latter :) And I bet more than a few men would love to have a super-strong spouse ('hon, come hold up this engine block...!') A super-strong zombie wife though...? Hmmmm... :)
KimLuster at 3:07PM, April 12, 2014
@Banes: No, I really ate some! Wish it was a euphemism - they didn't cook it right -- Yuck! Thanks about the style, but I'll switching a bit come next page haha. And yeah, Kimber Lee and Emilio will be facing a lot of stuff next few pages...
bravo1102 at 2:36PM, April 12, 2014
I could explain it to you logically but it would require knowledge of human physiology. Nah. Paradigm shift is right. My wife can do all the heavy lifting. I never have to carry the groceries ever again. Hey if she did come back from the dead does that make her a zombie?
Banes at 7:08AM, April 12, 2014
Sounds delicious! Or is "eating rattlesnake" a euphemism like "eating crow"? Maybe it means you have to apologize to someone for poisoning them? Or for biting someone? Hmmm...Meanwhile, I like the style on these last two pages. It's loose and painterly but also defined enough to make out actions/expressions clearly. Lookin' good! Nice to see Emilio and Kim facing this stuff.
