Well… I'm proud of my aliens!! And the Golden Kimber form - amyone remember a similar form a few chapters back (when Kimber Lee was exploring inside her own body?)!!
So… If a cosmic entity were to tell you what it is, would you automatically believe it? Automatically assume it's a truthful being? At the end of this scene maybe Kimber Lee will have decided!!

@Jeremy: True, true... If the learning curve was a couple weeks I might bite that bullet right now, but I feel it'd probably take me a couple months. My 'digital art' experience is largely limited to editing light/shadow some, and enhancing color... My stab at line art looked like someone trying to do it with a crayon...!! But I will try... someday!!

@Paul: So true...! It says it takes the form to 'minimize distractions' but taking on my own form would probably be the most distracting of all!!

There is the learning curve to consider, but if you want to grow you have to bite the bullet sometime. I wouldn't change the art style for this comic. GIMP is adequate for line art. I'm not saying Pshop isn't better, because it is, but I'd hate to be tied into their subscription model. I don't think it offers enough to pay money for it. Some people like Krita better than GIMP. I've looked at it and there are interesting things about it, but on the whole I think GIMP is still better. At least for what I want to do. If I wanted to emulate traditional medium, Krita would be better.

The aliens turned out awesome!! I kinda like her final form too, though. ;) In Kimber's place I'd be wary of any cosmic thing that appears to know me so well. If the form reflects its mode of operation, I'd be especially wary of this particular form; after all, when are we humans ever completely honest with ourselves? On those few occasions that we are it usually involves some effort, usually of the mountain-climbing, wolf-fighting, adversaries-overcoming magnitude...

@jeremy: Yes... I do know I'm holding myself back, and I've downloaded Gimp and tried to use it... I'm so impressed with the quality of digital art I see around here... but I dunno... Is the learning curve huge (and I'm not a spring chicken haha)? I don't feel like I can do anything! It seems like I'd have to work with it a couple of months (or longer, and not be making pages the entire time), just to get near the level I am now. I think... I think I may finish this story (and continue to work on my proportions, remembering muscle groups, drawing without using any references...) and then take a few months and pour myself into Gimp (or might just go ahead and get Photoshop) and then start a second story using it!!

Whoever this Godstrain being is, he's got his shape shifting abilities on lock down! xD He's even good at being Kimber herself, and that alone can be a frightening thing...

Godstrain phone home! Well, this thing has clearly latched on to the pop culture section of Kim's brain... it seems to have equal disdain for pretty much every possible explanation. Maybe It doesn't even know what It is!

Wow, the renditions of the Alien and E.T. are incredible! Haven't seen E.T. in a very long time; gave me a rush of nostagia! The last version looks like a hood ornament (I was hoping Kimber would say something like that, but of course she's encountered this dame before..)
