Back on page 291, the Colonel talks about Kimber Lee having an ‘energy field’ that interferes with and weakens other Godstrain bearers (he specifically meant Eli, but Kimber Lee is extrapolating from that). Looks like they were right? Good thing - this mission sorta hinged on that!!
That psychic tendril thingy emanating from that dude’s forehead… Kimber Lee has seen similar to that before (and apparently is the only one that can) in the following pages: 222-223, 255, 260, 275-276.
Is it that hard to figure out what's freaking Kimber Lee out in the last panel?

Ah! I was going to say she's realized that Eli probably knows Kimber is there, what with the psychic tendrils...I was also about to guess she would follow the tendrils to find Eli, but I see from your comments you've already referenced it. LOVED the Highlander shout out! XD

Who knows what Eli's figured out - maybe he can sense through his created minions... Reveals coming...!! Yeah, I loved the first Highlander movie and the premise (most of the sequels, esp 2020, are vomit-inducing, but still...) :D

Does it look to you like all the tendril in last panel are connecting to Kimber Lee? If so, I messed up... She actually detect a bunch of them in the sky above, connecting... others with each other! ;)

Didn't they put any thought into jamming the psychic emanations? Follow the tendrils and you find the source. Destroy the source and that will probably complete the mission.

My original script included a scene where Kimber Lee was actually using it to track Eli's exact location, but I decided to edit it out (good chance that idea will appear later though...). As for jamming it - with what?! Like Dark Energy, they know it's there, but don't understand it enough to jam it, or really to even detect it using technology!

Ha, showing my age...! I originally had 'Like a Vampire...?!', but decided that was too cliché... Kimber Lee loves movies so I got to thinking... Highlander just popped out!

In her place, I'd be tempted to pull at one as hard as I can and see what happens - Ok, probably nothing, as they're psychic energy things. Still, you never know until you tried, don't you? :) Awesome action art work again!
