thegreatjoebivins, I think you need to look at some other aspects and offer some more suggestions. I've said all I need to in regards to your unlimited text idea and your 3 points there completely misunderstand the situation or ignore the points that I made. Frankly, they're nonsense.
The final point too:
The idea of the feature is a bio. Duh.
I've been on sites where you give 200 character bios, (even less), and they serve their function well enough. If you want a blog, just link to one from your comic. ;)

But this is becoming irrelevant bickering, theleast came up with a brilliant suggestion and Black_Kitty'sideas on Community/Webring/group/Networking pages really need further looking into! That's one of the most innovative concepts yet and forms a great compromise between dragonlova's more pro networking stance and the anti-Myspacers. It could really benifit from some more input. :)

Comicspace is the single best free tool for any webcomic creator, and it is making Josh a fucking packet of money. He must be swimming in that shit.

Well, add my name to the growing list of DD'ers on Comicspace.

I like the idea of a myspace-type site made for webcomics. Hopefully it works out.

It's interesting seeing all the DD'ers on Comicspace. And everything they do.

I'm there as well. http://www.comicspace.com/mrgranger/

i never cared much for myspace as a matter of fact. i usually saw it as a place for people to horde avatars of people that they really dont know and say they have like 600+ friends. It's kinda rediculous… espcially seeing the mannerisms of people on that site. I swear… my boyfriend has like… 500+ friends… I bet he has no idea who half of those people are lol. I did get a comicsspace tho… i onno… myspace was not my taste because all i saw were people showing off how they looked and not really much netorking (unless it came to those bands and businesses who spam you with friend invites.) Drunk Duck having a profiles page would be awesome. It would be something I could work with. Also, I would be able to network with people in a way that would get my art out there. I felt that I would have a better chance getting noticed and networked on comicspace rather than myspace. And the heavenly light would shine down upon us all if Drunk Duck gave us all networking tools to work with. I know i'd be one happy cookie XD.

I'm one of those people who advertised on myspace. Really it was to make an “About the author” page since I'm html illiterate when it comes to making pages from scratch. (bf suppose to help me once he's back from war _ _; )

Hmm…Until DD gets something like this up, I say “Why the heck not!” I'll try setting a page up for myself.

What do you guys think of the new www.comicspace.com?

I've signed up under FOLEY, though I'm not entirely sure why. As it stands, is there anything that can be done with it other than acquiring friends and sending them comments/messages? Because I'm not seeing it (but then, I am on the “Incompetent to the point of Lunacy” end of the personal computing spectrum, so maybe I'm just not looking at it the right way…)

I'm waiting to see what happens when the additional features become available, in the hopes that I'll be able to figure out something to do with it that I can't do on MySpace, LIveJournal, and my webpage…

i thought to myself are there people tagging themselves with drunkduck on comicspace?http://www.comicspace.com/taglist.php?tag=drunkduck by golly, there is- i followed the crowd and tagged meself too.
i think comicspace is a great networking idea. i think mr josh has got a winner on his hands. i liked what he had done with onlinecomics.net so i really have high hopes for comicspace.
i also liked the idea of us having a bio page here at the duck.
