Soon we'll have a channel called ‘nickeloderang’ and it'll play shows like spoungebob, avatar, and others while the kids go ‘ew that stuff so old i want to watch my life as a teenage miley cirus!’

I'm watching spoungebob right now though lol, it still pisses me off when they show tears underwater.

Futurama and The Matrix came out a decade ago. Ghostbusters occurred in the last millennium, and that McDonald's “I'm lovin' it” slogan has been around for at least five and a half years.

It's a sobering moment when you find facts like these out.

I was 3…That's…Wow D:
I'm not really around much anymore, but here's my Tumblr, Twitter, and Deviantart. Also if you remember me from back when I was around, I'm sorry.

Spongebob Squarepants has been on for 10 years. Wrap your head around that.

The fact that I listen to Oingo Boingo makes me feel old. The fact that my taste usually falls around the early 90's, late 80's range makes me feel old.

Watching Spongebob makes me feel like vomit. I thought overly detailed reaction shots were funnier in Ren and Stimpy tbqh. Actually Chowder is pretty much a good version of Spngebob, only I just feel gay as all hell when I watch that.

EDIT: This is just a long winded way of me saying that spongebob has been pretty unfunny lately. I do miss the older seasons, but that humor has kind of been absorbed into Chowder, which is surprisingly a pretty awesome show.

Haha, Ren and Stimpy. I was in middle school when that came out. I remember having to wait for new episodes and everything. however like most of my ‘beloved’ childhood TV, when I rent the DVD nowadays I think “why did I like this so much?”

I try not to let anything make me feel old. Although the internet kind of does. I can't even remember how I used to function doing research etc without it. I suppose back then there wasn't any other way to do it though besides poring over books.

Also, when I was a kid our remote control had a wire on it. When I realized that my xbox360 controller didn't even have to be pointed at the unit I was all “whooooooa!”

But it's ok that he's a fry cook and uses a stove to cook with fire? XD

I've always thought that the 1980s seem distant, since the first two digits are different. 2000s vs. 1980s, so it seems to me like a much longer time than it actually is. I occasionally wonder, if I survive to old age, will kids be all “Daaamn, you were born in the 1900s?”

Always, I wanna be with mew, and make believe with mew

when i hear “ten years ago” my first thought, however immediately I correct myself, is the late eighties. It's as though my mind has absorbed this decade yet still resides in 1998.

Wow, skoolmunkee.. wires on your remote? You GEEZER.

I hate thinking about things from my youth in that light…

In four more years, Nirvana will be eligible to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Think about that. My first favorite band from when I was seven years old - Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. But Nirvana was a close second.

This year Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, and the Shawshank Redemption are all fifteen years old. When they came out, Apocalypse Now, Kramer Vs. Kramer, and the original Star Trek movie were that old, and being eleven at the time I thought “my GOD those movies are fuckin old”

….well I didn't think “fuckin” but you get the idea.
you know why birds don't write their memoirs? because birds don't lead epic lives, that's why. who'd want to read what a bird does? nobody. that's who.

10 years ago I was 4 months into my new job after my mother died just a month before. I guess I didn't notice that Mr. Squarepants showed up. He's got my 4 year old nephew in his innocent (but seemingly evil) grip…

I'm still happy that the bosses didn't decide to glue me to my first security post (the inside of a strip club called G-Spot; I got to see the normally calm, composed and collected Japanese salaryman go wild as animals when viewing the women on stage O_O )

I was 16 when that came out…

Technically, I was alredy too old to watch it, but I loved it back in the day…And I have to agree with Lauren Hagan, the Tiny Tim burger montage was so funny that first time.

And I do remember All That/Good Burger…

does the age of a piece of tripe made soley to latch remora-like onto kids attention spans and make them want to buy horrible crap make me feel old? no. it's going to keep being made for decades probably, because it makes money.

does it make you feel embarrassed that you Care?

'cause it should.
