Good dress up ^^

Speaking of dress-ups…
I finally got my damn hussar jackets. They fit and are well made, but missing some fur and the fur that's there should be white.

Ah well, I made do temporarily with some fake fur for the front.

Magnificent. Women across the world will now throw themselves at your feet because of the awe inspiring sexual allure of the hussar uniform. Though you won't be able to see any with your colpack slipping over your eyes. ;)

This is a more properly sized colback on the ultimate hussar: Le Chasseur a Cheval de la Garde Imperial

Those Frenchies call the whole busby a Colback. :)
-Obviously where the English name for the bg comes from.
My colpack bag was the right length until I added another layer of fur to my busby to bulk it up ^^

I can only hope that the soldiers who wore those hats weren't forced to go into combat…

man, how do those hats just not snap yer necks?
Mine's extra heavy because I wrapped another layer of fur around the outside to make it bigger ^^
But generally the massive fur hats are only s heavy as a metal helmet because they're just simple fur socks that slip over a light cane framework. The bigger danger used to be getting blown over.
The Duke of Wellington once had to wear a massive bearskin hat at an important parade (because of Queen Victoria). The wind was extremely strong that day and because of his hat he was blown right off his horse in front of thousands of spectators and troops. People found it hilarious at the time and made fun of him in all the newspapers…

In the late 18th century all hussars wore them into battle and they weren't such a big deal, -only as heavy as a metal helmet and nice and warm in the winter.

Later on British hussars only wore a little beret type hat with a pompom on top in battle.- like the Scottish Tam o'shanter, but without the ribbons.
French Hussars still wore there's though. And the French ones were bigger and fluffier than the British ones anyway.

Attractive peoples in costume :)

Costumes are so much nicer than actual clothes for some reason…

This is one of my hussar jackets with jeans (the dolmen jacket)

Wow, I don't have an fancy costumes, hair do, or pieces of art that belong in a museum…but I do have a boring picture of my self!

Most of my pics are with or of my wife…very few are of me alone…this is the best I could come up with on short notice. It's in Montreal.

Seen a doctor about that pit? Get an antibiotic injection or something… Get that bugger cleaned out and bathed in warm salty water and cleaned and re-bandaged every day until it's better.

yeah, i've been taking alotta foot baths with salts and soaps and stuff like that and they really seem to be helping. the soreness has gone down and so has the redness and i think alotta the puss is gone. had to tell cuz the toe nail's lifted in that part i think so it's white anyways. but it's feeling alot better.

Had something like that a few years ago. It was an ingrown toenail, and it got so bad that I ended up having to get part of the nail removed.

Beautifully Happy Days :)
VERY stylish!

Hmm, A lot of the early bikies had been in the war, especially the Americans- as bomber crews and such. That's where the the jacket style came from (before that it was longer coats). And the style of sunglasses they favoured were the Ray Ban Aviators, because those were originally designed to go under flying goggles- and would also fit under motorcycle goggles as well.

I've always had a thing for the aviator style… That was almost squished out of me when they came back into fashion a couple of years though, worn by extremely skinny girls and very young men… ESPECIALLY the revival of silver aviators, UGH! The horror. D:

To the glorious aviator legacy, that was like Man-Fae was to Cowboy Bebop. :(
