SS5 159 Sarah's in trouble

You may recall:
Sarah has been lodging with the Cranberrys for some time and made a deal with Mrs Cranberry to babysit the children on Tuesday nights in exchange for two cooked dinners per week. She soon discovered however that they were very reluctant to talk about where they went or what they did on these particular nights. Sarah mentioned it to her friend Jenny at a party recently and Jenny suggested they follow them to find out!
Many thanks to those of you who voted for us in the Duck Awards again this year, I can guess who you are and it is really lovely to know you still appreciate this comic as much as you do. Most of all though I'm really glad so many of you have stuck with us over the length of this final chapter as it has been a very long one but personally I feel it's the best I've written so far which should hopefully make for a really great finish to the whole comic.
Next week: Things come to a head between Sarah and Mrs Cranberry.

Bear: SS has been such an epic journey anyway that I do feel the ending I've written must remain the end to give the whole thing a definite feel of completion. If there's a surge of interest at some point in the far future I may well draw up the sideline stories that have were abandoned along the way as those were mini tales in their own right.

....and you can always resurrect stuff like old man cranberry's shed, as postscript stuff. Some of us can have withdrawal symptoms, when something we've been reading for ages actually finishes ! I was a bit like that with one called "Buying Time" B-) ...it was another Sunday morning regular for me here, like yours

Bear: Indeed we don't, and as long as Sarah controls her tongue she'll probably be okay. ;) And apologies for talking about the end, there are a lot of pages to go still though so by the time we do get there you'll have forgotten I mentioned it here anyway. :)

Fred: haha luckily they have a wonderful father! I had originally written a couple of pages of him and his 'time machine' in the garage which gave a much better picture of his sweet natured character but as it slowed down the progress of the story I felt it was best to bypass it.

Dear Sky, Great page! So many animals in last two panels. Also love the make shift Zoo the kids put together. As much as I love Sarah and friends I cant really blame the Crabby's for ripping into Sarah. I mean how would you like to be followed to a secret meeting. And Yeah "final chapter" sounds scary. tommym

Well... Sarah might have to starting looking for new lodging!! That said, I'm looking forward to the confrontation vs Ms. Cranberry. Ha I love the kids' zoo - what a neat idea!! Great rendition of all the toy animals and their enclosures (they sure have a lot of them)!!
