SS6 61 Ron's story 11

Hi all. hope you all had a lovely Christmas etc. It's amazing how quickly everything becomes normal again after so much preperation and hype! Anyway, on with the story!

So….Ron's pretty much finished telling Sarah his side of the story with regards to Laura's fake death but Sarah still doesn't sound too convinced.

Next week: Ron continues to pump up her tyre while Sarah gives him her perspective on everything he's told her so far. Is he hiding something? Has the canny Sarah spotted a major flaw in his story? Find out next week!

Congratulations on your DD Awards this year, Sky. We went head-to-head a few times again, and I wouldn't mind, or be surprised, if you'd won them all. I also read all your eloquent and thoughtful comments in the DD Awards. It's that kind of insight and care that makes this comic so great, and makes Sarah, and Lucy, and all the others, such great characters. You bring them to life!! Congratulations once more!!

My guess is that Sarah is going to chew Ron's sorry butt out: she will see that she has just been part of his manipulative plan. Most of his actions have been self-centered from the very start; his basic values are diametrically opposed to Sarah's, and she will not be afraid to tell him what she thinks about it. The Amazing Kreskin has spoken.

Haha Indeed you have! It's a very good point you make too because Ron's only really talking about his concern for the happiness of his daughter and the family harmony, and he's clearly not given much thought to how the truth might affect Sarah, he's just hoping everything would remain contained for all their sakes. Sarah's just chewing over the details first and then she will start on his butt! :)

I wonder... if Sarah knew this level of drama would develop, would she ever have stepped into that little shop 4 years ago (real time, probably just a few months comic time)!! Still, if she's in love that conquers all (so I've heard lol). Anyhow, nice wrap-up!! Really in the dark about where Sarah might go from here!!

I think we were all expecting it to be just another relationship story like the very first one where Sarah met Janey but I didn't want to retread old thoughts and feelings again so I decided to just write a good old yarn with a few LGBT twists woven in to make it a bit more original. And..Love ALWAY conquers all in my books! ;)

Sometimes, 'truth' and 'honesty' are the best 'charms' ... Have always felt that Sarah and Janey would end up together and grow grey together, butt that doesn't mean they can't find happiness with other people before that final time

Bear: I did originally intend to word it as'..meet a girl like you and be able to move on.' but then I felt that it made her sound more like a specific type of girl. Either way he could just be trying to charm her as you say. :)

Dear Sky, Ron likes to spread money all around to "solve" peoples problems. Well I think he is hiding something and Sarah is just the person to find any flaw. Sarah knows Ron gave her the flat tire, so she must be very suspicious of every thing he says. Must wait till next week. Nice car and panels. Sarah is so smart! :) tommym

He flattened her tire (from the looks of things, simply let the air out) to give them a chance to talk, so he could explain things before Sarah dug too deep and spilled things to the wrong person (ie Lucy) ... As for the money thing, it seems to me that he used it as a test, and when Sarah turned it down he knew she could be trusted

Tommym: Once again you nail him down very nicely. He's certainly a guy who thinks the answer to any problem is to throw money at it, and he's tried it with Sarah a couple of times too which is why I feel she has the edge on him because she's more interested in how this whole lie affects her and Lucy.
